Fixtures are universal components in automation systems, essential for precise positioning and maintenance during production processes. They are designed to support or guide a workpiece, ensuring precision, consistency and efficiency in various applications, from machining and assembly to inspection and testing.

Our installations are designed to meet the rigorous requirements of industries that demand the highest level of precision and quality. Thanks to our design expertise, we offer a full range of services, from concept to final realization, whether we are provided with a design (build-to-print) or need our engineering expertise to develop a customized solution (build-to-spec).

The project was born from the need to develop innovative fixing solutions for aesthetically valuable components, which require an extremely high level of protection from scratches and surface damage.

Typically, painted or mirror-finished components are particularly sensitive to mechanical stress and micro-movements that can occur during the manufacturing and assembly phases. Traditional fastening technologies, often used in the automation industry, are not always adequate to guarantee the integrity of these components.

To meet this need, we have developed an innovative solution based on the use of elastomeric polyurethanes. These materials, characterized by high elasticity and wear resistance, are applied in the form of a protective coating on the contact surfaces of the installation. This solution offers numerous advantages:

🔸 Optimal protection: the softness of the elastomer absorbs vibrations and prevents contact damage, guaranteeing the integrity of the components.

🔸 Geometrical adaptability: polyurethane can be molded to perfectly follow the shape of the component, ensuring perfect adhesion and complete protection.

🔸 Resistance and durability: the material is resistant to wear, chemical agents and temperature variations, ensuring a long life of the fixture.

 

Production process

  1. 3D design: using advanced CAD software, the geometry of the fixture is designed, taking into account the specific needs of the component to be fixed.
  2. 3D printing: a prototype of the fixture is created using 3D printing, allowing the form and functionality of the design to be quickly verified.
  3. Sample production: the 3D prototype is used as a model for the creation of an aluminum master, which will serve as the basis for the production of the final fixtures.
  4. Application of elastomeric coating: the elastomeric polyurethane coating is applied to the master using vacuum lamination techniques, ensuring perfect adhesion and high quality of finish.
  5. Finishing and quality control: fixtures are subjected to rigorous quality controls to verify the precision of the dimensions, the quality of the surface and the integrity of the elastomeric coating.

 

This innovative solution represents a significant step forward in the field of precision fixtures, offering an unprecedented level of protection and reliability for delicate and valuable components.
